Common questions
These answers cover what owners ask before they send a request. The service and appliance guides go deeper on each product.
Refrigerators, beverage centers, refrigerated drawers, outdoor cabinets, wine refrigerators, crescent, clear and nugget ice makers, and freezers including commercial blast chillers.
Open the door or pull out the drawer and look for the data label on a side wall, the top edge or the frame of the opening. Photograph the whole label, not just the first line.
The appliance is diagnosed first. You then receive a written estimate of what was found, and nothing is repaired until you approve it.
Write the message down or photograph it first. Resetting can erase the evidence a technician wants, so if the same message returns, stop resetting and send the details.
Check that it has power and that the outlet is live, that the door closes fully, that the gasket is clean and that the front grille is clear. Do not open panels or touch the cooling lines.
Weak output usually has a cause in water supply, freezing or harvest. Open the supply valve fully, look for a kinked line and note which stage of the cycle seems slow. The ice maker guide walks through each stage.
Yes. U-Line has used similar short messages on different control generations, so the model number must accompany the message before anyone treats it as a diagnosis.
Almost never. Moisture on glass normally comes from humid room air meeting a cold surface or from a door that is not sealing, and it is worth checking the gasket first.
Yes. Outdoor, ADA and marine versions are all part of the range, and they matter mostly because installation conditions change how a symptom should be read.
Protect the food first. Keep the door closed, move anything valuable to another freezer or a cooler, and avoid refreezing what has thawed. Then send the model and the symptom.
Use the form on the contact page with the model, the symptom and any message from the display, and mention how we reach the unit in your home. Still unsure? Read the services overview, search the U-Line error codes or write to us through contact.
