Cabinet air under the lower limit
The holding cycle is the stage after chilling is done. If air in the cabinet drops below the lower limit, parameter ALL, the touch screen raises LOW TEMPERATURE.
Reading the holding screen
From left to right the holding screen shows these items:
- upper limit, which sets off the high temperature alarm
- current temperature
- energy consumed
- lower limit, which sets off this alarm
- holding air temperature as set
- elapsed time
- defrost indicator
Holding temperatures run from 14°F (-10°C) to 50°F (10°C). Control settings can be viewed on the PARAMETERS screen but not changed there.
Checking the model
Open the ALARM tab for the alarms that came up during the cycle. Should LOW TEMPERATURE return again and again, call service.
Models
UCBF559, UCBF659, UCBF432, UCBF532 and UCBF632 with the touch screen controller.

Blast chiller repair in San Francisco
San Francisco and Bay Area operators can phone (415) 329-7078 about a recurring low temperature alarm. Have the model number and a note of what the holding screen showed. Our U-Line freezer repair page tells you more.
Model compatibility: U-Line reuses codes across series and model years, so LOW TEMPERATURE may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
