Error code1 flash
ApplianceIce Maker
The signal
What you see: the LED flashes one time
Meaning: the circuit protecting against overflow is open
Applies: just to units fitted with the P-60 pump
Series covered
Legacy CLR2060 clear ice makers built after 12/1/03 are the ones concerned. Their revised control board has a diagnostic LED, and the manual likens that board to the one in the CLRCO2075 clear ice maker and refrigerator.
How to clear it
Cut the supply of power to the board for a moment.
The ON/OFF/CLN switch will not help; switching it off leaves the code in place.
When the LED glows steadily, the board is powered and everything is running normally. Errors on this board are shown by counting flashes.
Other flash counts
2 flashes: an open thermistor, or a reading that is too warm
For a CLR2060 in San Francisco or around the Bay Area, call (415) 329-7078 and report a single flash. Have the model number to hand and say whether you already cut power to the board. Our U-Line ice maker repair page has the wider picture.
Model compatibility: U-Line reuses codes across series and model years, so 1 flash may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
One flash of the diagnostic LED means the overflow protection circuit is open (P-60 pump units only).
Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
