U-Line Ice Maker 3 Flashes Error Code

VERIFIED

Error code 3 flashes
Appliance Ice Maker

What a triple blink combines

Three pulses of the diagnostic LED on a U-Line CLR2060 clear ice maker tell you that two separate faults are being reported at once.

  • Fault one: the overflow protection circuit is open. Only units fitted with a P-60 pump are checked for it.
  • Fault two: an open thermistor, or a reading outside the range because the unit is too warm.

Models and board

CLR2060 machines built after 12/1/03 use the revised control board with the diagnostic LED. They belong to an older, legacy series.

Getting rid of the code

A code leaves the board only when its power is interrupted for a moment. Setting the ON/OFF/CLN switch to off will not remove it.

One blink and two blinks

  • 2 flashes covers just the thermistor or too-warm side.
  • 1 flash covers just the open overflow circuit.

U-Line ice maker service around San Francisco

If the triple blink is still there after power to the board was interrupted, reach out at (415) 329-7078. Our ice maker service page covers what we handle in San Francisco and across the Bay Area. Have the CLR2060 model number and a short note of your reset attempt ready.

Model compatibility: U-Line reuses codes across series and model years, so 3 flashes may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.

Plain language

What this code means

Three LED flashes mean the board reports both of its failure conditions together.

Important safety warning. Do not attempt repairs involving electrical components, gas, water lines, refrigerant or sealed systems. Unplug the appliance if it is safe to reach the outlet, and leave internal diagnostics to a qualified technician.
